IT IS WRITTEN
But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
Jeremiah 10:10

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Psalm 51:7
Wrath of God 1
God’s judgment and wrath are great cleaners.
God’s judgment diagnoses the disease and cuts it away, swift and clean. And we heal as if there had never been a cancer there. We are restored and made whole.
And it is wonderful to have the wrath of God wash over and through you. It is the purging hyssop that washes purer than snow. It’s a fresh start.

Wrath of God 2
How we experience God's judgment and wrath is determined by our willingness to repent. Daily reflection on the Ten Commandments helps remind us of our need for repentance.

Wrath of God 3
Repentance should not be confused with confession and asking for forgiveness. They are only the forerunner of repentance. Repentance means pledging that in like circumstances you will choose a different way to behave, that you will choose God's way.
