Welcome to Forgiveness Friday
Recently I felt the need in my life for a sustained focus on forgiveness, and 'Forgiveness Friday' is the result - a series of emails shared each week with friends so that we could encourage each other in our quest to live out Jesus' command.
Each email's content is linked as a pdf in the posts below in case it is of interest to others.
My journey unfolded as a step-by-step course for beginners and may only make sense if you start at FF#1! In brief, key points that emerge over the series are:
- Blessing is an effective way to turn an intention or desire to forgive into a concrete action.
- You have authority to bless and curse.
- When we bless others we bless ourselves. If you ask God to give the blessing, you are not only avoiding something you are required to do, you are missing the return of the blessing and so are your children.
- Blessing and cursing have generational impact.
- Honouring is a powerful means to prepare the ground for blessing and forgiveness.
