Love of God 1
One day I woke early and realised I was in love with God. Suddenly I was no longer a single person, I was one of a couple. Decision making now had to encompass the needs and wants of a whole other person. I wept, not because I was forsaking the solitary life, but because I understood that God had loved me tenderly so long, so long, and I had never until then been able to say, 'I love you, too'. Love of God 2 Strangely, knowing God loves so many, many others does not make me jealous. And God is not jealous when we love those whom God loves. Jesus confirmed this by commanding, 'Love one another as I have loved you'. Indeed, one of the tell tale signs of being in love with God is love of others. |
