IT IS WRITTEN
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM.
Exodus 3:14

Let God Be God 1
I am confused by people who insist the nature of God is love and then explain certain of God’s actions and reactions described in the Bible as ‘poses’ or ‘masks’ adopted by God for our benefit.
     Stop! Stop concocting God.
There are two important things to know about God: God is God, and God is our God.

Let God Be God 2
It is important for our own sake to let God be God.
So much of our relationship with God is based on the principle of spiritual reciprocity: ‘I will be yours as you will be mine’; ‘Forgive us our sins as we forgive the sins of others’. Just so, the more we accept God as God is, the more we understand how God can still love us just as we are and just as we do.
To decide in advance what God is in order to make a decision about whether you can love, support and defend such a God is not to enter into a relationship with God at all. It’s a kind of spiritual masturbation, in which you play with your own idea of God because it makes you feel good.
To make love with God, to embrace and adore God, to be with God we have to be willing to accept God as God is.
